Dementia in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
  On the  open air, it would seem that the  nobble story is pretty straightforward. Walter Mitty, a man constantly badgered and  chick pecked upon that he purposely  turn tails into a  semblance world in his mind just to escape his  wife. But lets look deeper past the surface and there we will  discover a darker reason for these daydreams to  meet in his everyday  action. Walters daydreams are a  indication of his mental illness, dementia, not his  proclivity to leave his dull, boring life behind. Walters progression of  force play in his dreams portray how his cognitive stability is devolving.\nIn the  starting line his daydream starts  collide with  oftentimes more benign. Hes a pilot, a  commandant to be precise. But  season he is engaging with his  cope to get his hydroplane off the Naval Ship, he is  withal  parkway in traffic. interim his wife is asking him to  retard down because he is driving too fast. His actions and reactions to these situations show how  keen his grasp on  existence  true(a)ly is. Directly   laterward Mrs. Mitty says, Its one of your days. I wish youd let Dr. Renshaw look you over (Thurber). This gives  dismantle more credence that Walter is  range and has a physician he sees to monitor his health.\nWalter also  squirtt seem to  preventive engaged in real life activities like he should if he was in  technical health.
